REquest a Party Reservation

PARTY RULES & REQUESTS (read before requesting)

OK, we know it makes us sound like Buzzkill Central but we have to admit it: our guiding philosophy is that OPP should not be viewed as a non-member party venue. Large groups of non-members have a huge impact on parking, lifeguard staffing, pool wear and tear, and the ability of your fellow members to enjoy the pool and grounds. It's just not what most of us joined OPP for.

Consequently, we've established some fairly strict guidelines and generally limit parties to a maximum of 25 non-members. See bottom of page for more details.

TO MAKE A PARTY REQUEST PLEASE CLICK HERE. PLEASE NOTE THAT SUBMITTING A REQUEST DOES NOT GUARANTEE OR IMPLY APPROVAL OF YOUR EVENT.

PARTY FEES DO NOT INCLUDE ANY STAFF OR AMENITIES. What are the fees for then, you might ask? They are to cover guest fees, compensate for the inconvenience that large parties cause our members, and ensure the appropriate number of lifeguards are on duty during your party. Lifeguards are not available to provide party assistance: their exclusive role is to ensure safety and keep the pool functioning properly.

We may, at our discretion, require a gate monitor, hired at the host's expense, to ensure that all guests are properly signed in and accounted for.

Parties may not be scheduled concurrent with swim team events or on holidays. All requests are subject to review, and payment is required to make a request. Submitting a request and payment does not guarantee or imply approval. If your request cannot be fulfilled your payment will be refunded in full.

Once your event has been approved there are no refunds.

Members are always welcome at OPP, but if you are planning an unusually large gathering of members it would be very helpful to us if you would notify our Club Manager to ensure proper lifeguard staffing.

You can check the OPP calendar HERE to see if there's a swim meet or other event on calendar.

PARTY rules

  • Access to specific areas is first-come, first-served, and securing a party area is the responsibility of the OPP member/host (not the Club Manager or the lifeguards).
  • You may reserve a maximum of 2 tables by placing signs on them, but signs must be specific to the hours of your party. For example, a sign reserving a table for 4pm can be placed on the table in the morning, but the signs should let other pool users know you've reserved the tables at 4pm and may not be used to block off the tables all day long.
  • The OPP member/host must be in attendance at all times during the party.
  • The OPP member/host is responsible for admitting all guests into the grounds when they arrive. The gate must not be left open, and non-members must not "tailgate" behind members into the pool.
  • All non-members must sign the guest book/waiver.
  • All members and guests must be ready to leave when the pool closes.
  • The party area should be restored to its original condition (clean and trash free) no fewer than 30 minutes prior to pool closing.
  • NO GLASS of any kind.
  • Guests and members must obey the instructions of our lifeguards and Club Manager.
  • No animals allowed other than ADA compliant service dogs. An ADA compliant service dog has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability. We do not accommodate “Emotional Support” animals at OPP. For more information please contact the Pacific ADA Center.
  • It is the OPP member/host's responsibility to ensure that party attendees follow all pool rules. Please review these rules and share with your guests

Additional Rules That apply

Approval for parties of more than 25 non-members should be considered the exception, not the rule.

If you are planning a very large party you should definitely consider alternatives other than OPP and not assume that your request will automatically be approved.

Intentionally underestimating the number of non-members in your party to subvert this limitation may result in your party being shut down, as well as the possibility of fines, suspension of future party request privileges, and in extreme cases the termination of your membership.

A gate monitor will be required for all parties of 25 non-members or more. The gate monitor must remain at the gate until all guests have arrived, ensure that non-members sign in, and that the number of attendees does not exceed the reservation.
