Monday, 10/14 - OPP Board Meeting at 7:00 PM (Gallery Room, at the Orinda Community Center)

Friday, 10/25 - OPP Halloween Party at 5:00 PM ($10/child, RSVP)

Sunday, 10/27 - Last Day of the Year for OPP - Pool Cleanup (Start Time TBD)

Last Call for Guard Gift Contributions!


It's crunch time for getting together our end of year gifts for, Ricardo and Denroy.  This gift is to thank them for another season of hard work and vigilance as they continue to keep our swimmers safe every day. If you still need to contribute to this gift before tomorrow (the 12th of October), please Venmo Sara Alm (@SaraAlm) your donation (last four digits, 7256). Please mention "OPP Guard Thank You" in the subject line when you send the contribution. We are suggesting donations around $25 to $30, but feel free to give whatever you feel comfortable giving.

We're Closing Up Soon...Let's Get Stuff Fixed!


Who is ready for the end of year cleanup on the last day of the season (10/27)?!?  Please put that date on your schedules if you are up for helping with the breaking down of a lot of items that need to go away for the winter.


Also, to help us be ready for the winter, please let us know if you notice anything that is in need of repair.  We're working on a few items right now--the showers being a big item--but we really want to know if there's something out there that needs to be fixed.  Please email us at board@orindaparkpool.org if you come across something in disrepair these next few weeks.  We do want to help with these items as soon as we can.


The Meadow Halloween Meet on October 13th, And Beyond!


Yes, there's a meet at Meadow this Sunday!!!  But what comes after?  Well, technically, we have a few more weeks of Fall swim left with coaches Erin and Quinn.  The goal of these remaining practices is to really work on technique.  If you haven't attended one of these practices, please consider stopping by.  Perfect attendance is not mandatory, just come when you can.  The drills and activities that the kids are doing are very unique!


What about next year?  Glad you asked.  We have some dates for your families to write down...


  1. Last day for swimmers are allowed to receive swim lessons from a coach: Sunday 12/15/2024 (note: this is almost two months after OPP has shut down for the winter)
  2. Start of 2025 Spring Clinics: 3/3/2025
  3. Start of OMPA 2025 Season: 4/21/2025
  4. 2025 OMPA Swim Meet: 8/1-8/3/2025

Catch JB and the Languistics live from 6-8pm. Before and after the band OPP resident DJ Erik Rumors will keep the party going!

Celebrate the pool closing with a spooky party! We’ll have Halloween crafts, pizza, and s’mores to roast, all while watching a Halloween movie on the big screen (vote for the movie through the link below).


Costumes and cozy blankets for the movie are encouraged!
